Rival Di Loop is a German Brand based in Berlin which makes good cosmetics on a budget. My previous posts saw me reviewing a different shade from the same range, review here. This lipstick is ideal for doing gothic makeup and it would definitely make one look different. The color is very bold and does require some effort to make it look good.
The Shade: A very deep plum grape with purple shimmers, but the shimmers are finely milled with the lipstick material and hence do not stand out
The Finish: Appears metallic, but wears as a sheen on lips.
The texture: drying ! yes it has a drying effect on my lips and necessitates the use of a lip balm underneath. Also, applies best with a lip brush else can look streaky and cakey. I am not very much happy with the texture. The other lipstick which I have from this range is very good, but this is utterly different
The pigmentation: Very much deep and one swipe is more than enough.
The lasting: Lasts good four hours on lips, but lips end up being dry. I would have loved if the finish was more hydrating and glossy.
My verdict: A really different and off beat shade, sole reason for my fancy for this shade. Its very deep grape kind of a shade and opens avenues for experiments though not a shade for everyday wear and also might not suit everyones taste. I am thinking of doing some looks with this one. The texture could have been better, more moisturizing on lips.It feels really dry on lips with time.
