Aloe Veda Avocado Herbal Bodywash Review

Perfect for summers! Enriched with extracts of Avocado, Aloevera, Neem, Mint and Lemongrass , leaves the skin clean and invigorated after each shower.

So , I have written the summary first 🙂 , yes this is a very good and mild cleanser that has an energizing effect and imparts a sense of well being amidst the sultry summer season.

The Look: A pale pista green gel

The Smell: Fresh minty citrus aroma , I like it a lot. The smell is refreshing and has a mood lifting effect .

My Take: It lathers well, though the lather is less than that of The Body Shop shower gels, in a sense, we require a little more amount of shower gel to work up a good lather. I do not mind it really, for it  has a enlivening and refreshing effect on the skin and imparts a sense of pure well being. A great cleanser, that should suit all skin types and is a must have during the summer season. Highly recommended!

Pros:

  1. Refreshing
  2. Great aroma
  3. Moisturizing
  4. Not drying on the skin
  5. Good for the summers
  6. Shall suit all skin types

Cons:

  1. More quantity is required to work up a good lather
  2. Needs little care while traveling, as it has a press open cap, which might open and spill on application of pressure.

Price: INR 180 for 300ml

Naturally Upper Canada Avocado Body Wash Review

During one of my random visits to a Faces, Canada store, my eyes landed on these fabulous skincare stuffs. The moment I took a sniff on the testers, I made up my mind to buy a couple of these amazing body care stuffs. So, after sometime of testing and trying, I zeroed upon this body wash and a body butter, which I am loving absolutely.

The Look : A light greyish white liquid, not creamy though.

The aroma: Very natural and mild, has a relaxing effect. I guess this would appease everyone’s nostrils.

My experience: It lathers luxurious, but less than Palmolive or the Lux ones . It claims to be free of SLS, mineral oil and parabens, which I like. One can actually make out from the fragrance and lather, it doesn’t smell jarring or overtly foamy. I feel it is  better than TBS shower gels too 🙂 . I am really happy with this one, provides essential moisture and doesn’t feel drying or oily on my skin. Love this  .

Palmolive Thermal Spa Body Wash – Crushed Coconut and Jojoba

I am going very brief here 🙂

The Look: Thick creamy emulsion with micro granules which provide a mild scrubbing effect.

The aroma: Very nutty , an amalgamation of coconut and vanilla smell.

My view: Very creamy and smooth in texture of the liquid that lathers to a luxurious lather, making the bathing experience intensely aromatic. Very much hydrating on skin and is ideal for winters. Highly recommended !

Price: INR 125, which is very economical 🙂

The Body Shop Shea Shower Cream Review

With December around, our skin tends to crave moisture, and I thought to quench its thirst with the TBS Shea Shower Cream. I love shower gel or creams, and when it comes to a brand related, its always TBS.

download (4)

The Look and Texture: It has a body lotion like texture which is considerably thick and not so runny. Its creamy beige in color like the all of the Shea Range.

The Aroma: Its similar to the others of the Shea range, but its little stronger than that of the Shea body lotion or the body butter. You get the aroma while you use it , but once you are out of shower it disappears.

My experience: When it comes too moisturizing properties, it really quenches the skin and keeps it soft and supple, all through the day. The skin doesn’t feel at all dry after its usage. I have combination-oily skin, but it did not make my body skin greasy or oily. I guess it could be used by all, except for people with too much oily skin.

The only ouch factor about this is that it does not lather much and one requires more of it , to make it lather. Hence it would be used up quickly :). I like it a lot 🙂

Price: INR 395

Summary: Worth buying for the moisturizing properties 🙂 , the con is that it does not lather much and gets used up quickly.

The Body Shop Peach Shower Gel Review

This is a awesome, very fresh , kinda juicy smelling body wash, which I am currently loving :), love the smell so much :), it enlivens, energizes and make me feel alive. Smell alone is enough  to buy this one. Its a ideal body wash for summer.

It smells of peach, fruity and fresh. The aroma is sweet and juicy, seems like peach jam :). Its very delicate and invigorating. It lathers soft, which is not overbearing and  is gentle enough to cleanse. The aroma lasts for about half an hour to an hour after bath, but if layered with a differently smelling body lotion or cream, the smell gets lost. The gel is moisturizing enough, ideal for summer season, its not at all drying. The skin feels soft and supple after the wash. The consistency is gel like and runny which is light peachy yellow in color.

Price: Rs. 340 for 250 ml

Summary: Ideal for the summer season, highly recommended :). If you have oily-combination skin, its for you. Fresh, fruity and enlivening aroma. You should get it for its smell. Only the fact that the smell doesn’t last long, is a negative point about this.

Olay Body Wash Plus Creme Ribbons with Almond oil Review

When it comes to select over bodywash and soaps, I prefer bodywash . I feel they are less harsh and a good bet if one wants to indulge in some self pampering. Also they are hygienic, travel friendly  and easy to use. I have been using this bodywash under scanner for about three months. It was just a buy out of curiosity on one of my ramblings in a Health & Glow store. Its packaged in a sturdy plastic bottle in light creamy pink color. Product claims to include skin cream ribbons in it along with the bodywash ingredients, hence the name. Also, it is supposed to improve the look of skin in just 5 days :), claims to contain almond oil. The color of the product is also light creamy pink.

After using it for about three months, I am of the opinion that its a good bodywash which cleans the skin well and lathers luxuriously. Its thick creamy in texture which is not runny and does not dry out the skin. If we have to draw a likeness, its similar to dove bodywash. Its washes off easily and leaves the skin smooth and smelling good. The smell is typical Olay type,  good, not over powering but it disappears after sometime. I did not notice any change in my skin after using it as it claims, only that its not drying and skin feels smooth after a wash. My skin is oily, but it did not make my skin greasy.

Price: INR 190

Summary: Worth a buy, good product. If you do not want to spend much then give it a shot. Delivers good results. Definitely better than bodywashes from Palmolive, Fiama di wills etc. I would not be buying it again, would look out for some other options. There are better options available.

Product Score: 3.5/5
