I happened to purchase this by mistake , instead of the scrub from this range, I picked this up and when I reached home, I realized my folly 🙂 . This face mask is a part of the lakme skin range suited to oily and acne prone skin.
The Look: A very smooth textured clay mask, that spreads evenly and smoothly all over the face.
The Smell: Very fresh smell, nothing pervasive.
My experience: Actually, this is a dud ! I did not like the way it feels on the skin. I have oily acne prone skin and it seems to clean well, but otherwise renders no effect on my complexion. It doesn’t reduce zits or black heads either, and reduces oiliness to some extent. I do not have good words for this product and feel, that I have wasted my money on it. Also, I feel it contains a lot of chemicals.
I do not recommend it !
Price: INR 110 for 50 gms

Instaglow !! Yes it adds an instant glow to your face after its washed off, an after facial kind of glow which lasts you for about 5 to 6 hours 🙂 . Its not an exaggeration though, really it lights up my face :).
The packaging: Comes in a wide mouthed tub, which I like. I like the way, I can swipe my finger and apply it on my face. Though when the amount lessens, I have to dig it out.
The texture and color : Its has a typical multani mitti type of texture , a pasty mud like. Easy to apply and spread. Also, it dries up in 15 – 20 mins .
The aroma: Smells of sandalwood, combined with rose water with a touch of jasmine. Its strong on application but after some time it fades away. Some of you might not like it.
My Experience: I think you can make it out already 🙂 yes I am too happy with this. Lends me a facial like glow at home, without the pain, what more can a busy mother ask for?? It also keeps the skin oil free and perfectly cleans the skin. Also acts on inflammations of the skin like acne and rashes and makes it healthy. I am happy 🙂 . Though, dry skinned people might feel it makes their skin too dry, I recommend it for normal , combination and oily skin types. Also, one needs to moisturize after its usage.
Price: INR 295
Summary: Recommended!! Must buy ! True to claim, adds an instant glow. Best for oily acne prone skin, but it would be equally good for normal skin, dry skinned beauties might find it drying on them. It comes handy when you do not have much time before an event. The con is it can be drying on the face.

Up with another review from this wonderful range of products from OlenGin. Their niche is the use of the Dead Sea minerals in their whole plethora of products. Do visit their website for details on their product range.
The Product: The magic mineral facial mud mask from Dr. OlenGin. I have been using it for about a month. You can view the product here: http://www.olengin.co.il/en/facial-care/19-magic-mineral-facial-mud-mask.html
The look and texture: Its a grey colored mud with a soft creamy texture which is not stiff and spreads easily all over the face.
The aroma: Very soothing and sensual. The aroma is very much like the way “EverYuth” Cucumber face pack smells.
Description on website: Using Dr. OlenGin’s unique Dead Sea mineral based formulas, our Magic Mineral Facial Mud Mask is highly enriched with Dead Sea minerals, and especially with the Dead Sea mud slit. This deep facial skin cleansing mask cleanses, softens, and stimulates blood circulation, while renewing the skin and restoring its vitality. It also contains Koalin, Propylene Glycol and Aloe Vera that together soothe, absorb and protect the skin, leaving you and your skin feeling alive and radiating.
How effective it is : So lets see how it fares up to the claims mentioned :). It smells awesome and is very easy to apply. Dries up in 15 minutes. I keep it for about 15 minutes twice a week and then wash off. But in the usage instructions, its mentioned to be kept on for only 2 minutes twice a week after scrubbing. It does make the skin look smooth and vitalized . Has a soothing and relaxing effect. when applied, a tingling sensation is felt which is much pronounced, but nothing to worry 🙂 it goes off after sometime. It effectively cleanses and tightens the skin and helps it stay blemish free and glowy. It does not work on already existent zits or pimples, but its not the what it has claimed ! Rite! Overall a good face pack for inclusion in ones skincare regime. Only a little quantity is required, one 100 ml tube would last you long.
Availability: It would soon be available on Ebay. It can be bought after contacting the company in the following email :firstname.lastname@example.org
Summary: An ideal face pack which would suit all skin types and has soothing and tightening effect on the skin. Stays up to the claims it has made.

This is my HG face pack when it comes to combating Acne. This has rescued me from mild bouts of acne which strike me sometimes. I have oily-combination skin which is prone to breakout or two once in a while, and during that period this is my rescuer:)
The texture of this face pack is granular, though the granules are not so harsh, as a result of which it acts as a scrub as well. Its clay based and appears dark green in color, looks like a mixture of clay and grounded neem leaves. It has a pleasant smell which I like. Now coming to the acne combating aspect, yes it does work ! It helps in drying out the existing bumps as well as preventing new ones from forming. Also deep cleanses the pores and renders a scrubbed look to the skin, due to the granules present in it. It helps in gradually clearing up the skin and making it glow, also helps in lightening the blemishes to some extent. It removes excess oil without drying out the skin. The only con is that, sensitive skinned beauties might find it too harsh because of the granules.
Price: Rs. 65 for 100 gm
Summary: Recommended to people with oily acne prone skin! If you are suffering from acne outbreak , do give it a try. It works wonders and is budget friendly, which is very rare nowadays :). The only con is , it might be too harsh for people with sensitive skin as it has tiny granules present in it.
