Neutrogena UltraSheer Dry Touch Sunblock SPF50+ Review

A great sunscreen! A potion that works ! Oh, I am smitten over ………..yes , finally a sunscreen that I look forward to stick on to ūüôā

The Look : A thick white cream, which spreads and blends into the skin with ease.

The Texture: Though it is thick , it blends into the skin effortlessly¬† revealing a glowing facial skin. Yes, it does impart a shine to the skin on application, which I like. The skin appears to glow from within and , it doesn’t look like a white cast.

The Smell: Very mild floral smell.

My Take: Finally I found a sunscreen that works on my skin. It protects the skin from tanning and the result is miraculous. I have been wearing it to my swimming exercise for over 15 days and I could actually see the difference.  To put it to test, I went with bare face for two days and was badly tanned, which made me realize that it was the sunscreen that prevented my skin from being tanned. It did not have any adverse reactions on my skin and makes the skin feel light and easy. Also, it is water proof and is ideal for sweaty summers and for beach vacations, it would act like a protective shield against tanning.

Highly Recommended ! Protects the skin from harmful rays of the sun.  This would suit all skin types, though oily skin types might find their skin more shiny after its usage.

Price: INR 495 for 100ml

Product Score: 4.5/5

Lakme Sun Expert Fairness Lotion SPF 24 Review

Sunscreens, actually has become an¬†in disposable¬†component¬†in modern day skin care , with Lakme making the¬†advent in mid nineties ūüôā . I still remember the creamy white bottle with orange inscriptions, then my mother bought it for her and my curiosity got the better of me and even I started using that.

Now, when the market is populated with varieties of sunscreens, I make it a point to change my sunscreen every six months. In one of these pursuits, I bought this and this is pretty decent though the SPF level is on the lower side.

The color: A thick white emulsion

The aroma: Very fresh cucumber like smell.

My experience: It is a decent sunscreen, which is not oily and gives a nice matte finish to the skin. Also it adheres to the skin forming a layer, which cannot be felt. I realized this effect when I washed my face within an hour of application, that i saw it wearing off. Though if you wash after a long time, you cannot see it ! My only concern is the low SPF. The claim of fairness is not exactly true, it does seem to add some glow , but fairness ?? tall claim!

It does not leave any whitish cast and gets absorbed completely into the skin. The only pull back aspect is once again, Low SPF !

Price: INR 180 for 200 ml

Summary: Decent sunscreen, great for all skin types. Does not makes the skin greasy or oily and the skin looks bright and glowing . The con I feel is the low SPF rating.

Product Score: 3.5/5

The Look: A light pink lotion with a very light consistency which is moisturizing at the same time.

The Aroma: Has a floral-sandal smell like most ayurvedic/organic products. I do not mind the smell, and also it fades after some time. Though some people may not like the strong aroma on application.

My Experince: This is a decent product in my view, also to keep in mind, it is quite difficult to review a sunscreen. This is why I took a long time to review it.

It is moisturizing and hydrating, also acts as a good makeup base. The best part is it did not break me out, my skin being oily in nature. I would preferably use it in winter for its moisturizing properties, though dry skinned beauties might like it all year round. I feel it makes the skin glow and brightens it up to some extent and also keeps tan at bay.

The SPF level is 20, which I feel is quite low for Indian climate, how much actual sun protection it offer is my question. Else a good product, but I feel its bit on the higher side. This is probably because it is organic in nature. It says it is 80% organic.

Price: INR 750

Summary: Its a decent product, a good moisturizer and skin brightener. But I feel it is over priced for its deliverance. If you are a organic product freak, you might give this a try. Also, it would suit most skin types, though might not be suitable for oily skin in summers.

Product Score: 3.5/5

Ps: Product sent by brand for consideration and the review as usual is honest.
